Cristina R. Baumgardner, CPA, ABV, CFE, CIA, leads Lucent Consulting with over 15 years of experience in forensic accounting, fraud investigation, and business valuation. Her expertise spans a wide range of services, from internal control assessments to complex litigation support. Cristina’s certifications and extensive experience, coupled with her passion for continuous learning, make her a formidable leader in the field.
Outside work, Cristina enjoys traveling, reading, hiking, and spending quality time at the ranch with her family.
Cristina is a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, the Institute of Internal Auditors, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants. Cristina is a graduate of the University of Texas at San Antonio with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a Master’s degree in Finance.
Gerald graduated from Southwest Texas University in 1963 and began his accounting career in West Texas, then San Antonio. He has been practicing accounting in Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi since then except for a stint in the USAF. His practice consisted of traditional accounting services until the mid-1980’s at which time he focused on forensic services. He has been engaged and/or appointed in over 500 cases since that time.
Today he enjoys working on a part time basis and fishing at his weekend home in Rockport, Texas.
Kaley Redding is an intern at Lucent Consulting. She is currently a senior at Texas A&M University- San Antonio, expected to graduate in December 2023. After graduation she plans to obtain her master’s in public accountancy and sit for the CPA. Kaley worked as a bank teller and banker for five years, where she grew a love for working with numbers and decided to pursue accounting. She has gained a lot of leadership experience in her time as an undergrad. She held the positions of president and treasurer for her sorority, Sigma Delta Lambda Sorority, Inc. and served as vice president for the student chapter of TXCPA. She also held several mentor positions, mentoring students in the career service center, as well as students on academic probation.
Kaley grew up in College Station, Texas and is a die-hard Aggie fan. She has seven younger siblings, who she goes to visit in College Station as often as she can. Her hobbies include hiking, running, and cooking. She loves to go on road trips, camping trips, and going to live music shows as often as she can.
Tyla Oliver is a dedicated Staff Analyst at Lucent Consulting, leveraging her diverse background in finance and leadership. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree with cum laude honors from Texas Tech University, where she actively contributed to campus life as Financial Secretary and Finance Chair of her sorority, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
During her academic journey at Texas Tech University, Tyla worked at the Texas Tech School of Law’s Career Department, facilitating job placements for aspiring attorneys. This experience not only deepened her appreciation for legal processes but also sparked an interest in forensic accounting, driven by the meticulous analysis and financial scrutiny involved. Post-graduation, Tyla pursued her career at Hilton Corporate, where she discovered her passion for finance as a Revenue Specialist, gaining valuable experience in financial analysis and reporting.
Outside of her professional commitments, Tyla contributed her experience as a volunteer bookkeeper for a non-profit organization in San Antonio. She continues to show her love for the community by volunteering with non-profit organizations, contributing her time and expertise.
A proud native of San Antonio, Texas, Tyla enjoys exploring her city, traveling, experimenting with new recipes, and maintaining an active lifestyle through exercise. She is currently enrolled in the Professional Accountancy Program at San Antonio College, preparing for the CPA exam. Additionally, she is an active member of the TXCPA Student Auxiliary. Driven by a desire for continuous learning and professional growth, Tyla Oliver exemplifies a commitment to excellence in both her career and personal pursuits.
